Eclipse by Stephenie MeyerIn reaction to this weeks reading I will have to say that this book has me hooked. The story is coming to a climax where the main characters are taking very drastic decisions and actions that give the storyline something better to read than the usual I love you and will suffer for you theme. The story was getting quite boring like that. Now it has been given twist that there is going to be a huge feud between wolves and vampires vs the Italian vampires. I need time to keep on reading. It was a pleasure to log my entries because it kept me on my toes while reading to pay attention to all the details that went on in the story. Feel kind of sad this is the last entry for the semester.
Eclipse by Stephenie MeyerIn reaction to this weeks reading I have to say that I have not seen or read anything with the same rich, complex, real life emotional value as this awesome book. I am not a huge fan of vampire vs wolf stories but this is an exception. In the part that I am reading now the feud between the two lovers persists while a third character gets his feelings crushed by the girl. I do not like how the girl treats the third but somehow I can "see" how she comes to the decisions she makes. She feels that he is too important to lose the most friendly relationship with so she does whatever to keep him close without cruel intentions. Its crazy how it all works, but who knows when it is the author gets you to comprehend what it is exactly she is trying to convey.
Eclipse by Stephenie MeyerIn response to this weeks reading, I would have to say that this week was the most that I have read during the entire semester. The main events that went on while I read were that the main characters are in a everlasting feud for the love of someone who has already chosen. My question is can someone chose who to be in love with? I agree with what the author emphasizes that one cannot chose who to love it simply happens, and no matter how much you care for someone else and no matter how special they are to you if the magic of love does not do its work a relationship is impossible.
Eclipse by Stephenie MeyerIn response to this weeks reading I have to say that the plot is starting to build up. I know that now I do enjoy reading the book and try to make time to read, but it seems too difficult. The rising actions are starting to build up in a way that the characters are taking drastic decisions that shape the problem in the plot. The main details that make this part of the book are the decisions that the main characters take toward each other and the boyfriend not wanting his loved one interact with his "nemesis" which seems like a simple problem, but that leads to very bizarre actions.
Eclipse by Stephenie MeyerFrom this weeks reading I can say that for me it is now something that I would do in my free time. It has usually taken me this long to get into a book in the past. Having that said, one of the main characters "Bella" in the story dislikes to spend time with her father. I do not see or understand why most of the time, but one comment I can make is that I like to spend time with my father. So in contrast to that I just wonder how the sweet relationship between the main characters is going to end. Different readers have different perspectives and my perspective has no sympathy for the main characters. I do not like their relationship because I think that it is too possessive and intruding.
Eclipse by Stephenie MeyerThe weekly reading for this week was of more interest to me. The book is now very interesting and I find many situations in the book to be very controversial. For example the main character couple want to go to the same college together because their love is so great. If I truly loved another I would want the best choice for her even if that meant separation from me. For the first time I actually read more than I usually do. I even planed to read some more when I could but time is such a killer. Overall I am finally into the book.
EclipseStephenie MeyerMy reaction to this weeks reading is that it is amazing how the author targets a generation of people but i wonder how she gets all generations to relate too. I mean here Stephenie Meyer targets the out of high school looking for a college generation because that is what her main characters' generation is. Ironically that is my situation too. I am fresh out of high school and in my freshman year in college. My point is, can someone 34 years of age relate as well as I can ? With the same emotional value. Will our point of view differentiate by a lot?
After getting more into the book it feels like one can relate more and more. At first the emotions to me were exaggerated but as you read on it feels as if you know how much the two characters feel for each other. Their relationship is untouchable by others. The plot i realize is based on how and what they do to keep it alive. As it is exactly how it feels in reality.Eclipse Stephenie Meyer
Got through the next 40 pages totaling 70 pages of Eclipse. Im amazed how well the author manages to make certain characters qualities sound normal. For example a vampire named Edward has the ability to read minds. In reality not likely huh, but the the author doesn't saturate the fact that the character can read minds so it doesn't make it sound annoying. Taking into consideration the story is a tale I dont mind it but I dont like the concept. I guess its part of the details that makes the story more "interesting". Overall Im starting to like the book because the story is getting better, still not feeling the craze. Im still continuously glancing at the clock to see if time is up. Come on want to enjoy reading; i know i can do it!!!
Started the 3rd book eclipse of the Twilight series. My reaction to the first 34 pages leaves me some curiosity on some of the details of previous books. I can see though why many people frenzy about this series. The quality of the emotional value the author (Stephenie Meyer)implies is outstanding. All of the actions wether complex or simple have some emotional value to it such that it makes one relate to some of the common feelings and actions since many of these are commonly found in what we call love. Im not crazed about the book as of right now because someone like me analyzes way too in depth in literal meaning not implied so I will have to read on beyond 34 pages to see if i relate enough to manifest the so called Twilight craze.Stephenie Meyer Eclipse
