Ahh, I wasn't paying attention to the dates!

Anyway, I liked both. Usually I don't read manga (I can't stare at my computer screen long enough to get into a long story--the only thing I'll dedicate myself to is the Legend of Zelda mangas where I can't play the game myself, hahaha); but these ones were really sweet and refreshing. (:

Not sure if these were on your list, but a couple pretty short manga series you could put on your list would be Flower in a Storm (two volumes) and Beast Master (two volumes). Sorry, I'm unsure of the Japanese names; but that'd be four more off your list with not a huge time commitment. (:
