HI Loki,I remembered that book finally - Were You Born on the Wrong Continent? : How the European Model Can Help You Get a Life by: Thomas Geoghegan
good read on how the Marshall plan created the business climate of today in Europe and how it is more in line with what we called the American dream at th end of WWii then our current us economic and business environment.
Hi loki,There are a number of books on the history of the Marshall plan and on its impact on Europe and the US. Best I could suggest is hit Amazon and read the reviews as far as history is concerned.
for Chinas interest in Africa- I would suggest The Dragon's Gift The Real Story of China in Africa by
Deborah Brautigam.
I hope that helps....
ps trying to remember a book I read last year- about living in Europe vs US - written by an Accountant of all people- good read ... it mention most of the current European business practices that are decried as socialist where actually put in place by the US and UK after ww ii through the Marshall plan.... seems we didn't listen to our own good sense in building sustainable business climates...
Hi Loki,Nice to meet you!
Can you be a bit more specific.... Foreign aid in what context?
Namaste
Kevin
