You wouldn't think a book about the challenge an alien culture presents to the U.S. healthcare system would be a riveting read but it's fascinationg to see just how wide the gap can be. The Hmong have spent hundreds (thousands?) of years avoiding the challenges of opposing cultures by escaping to higher ground (the mountains of Laos and other lands) and holding out. This should be on all our Health Professions reading lists.
