Gerri’s comments from the SDPL Staff Reading Program 2011 group.

We drove up north this weekend and enjoyed listening to Mark Twain's Roughing It. He took the stage coach from Missouri to Nevada in 1861--a trip that took about 8 weeks. We heard his desciptions of the desert while driving between Lancaster and Victorville--could imagine he was there with us!
