Of course. Why else keep bookshelves in the house? There are favourite books I go back to time and again. Also, as I'm now reviewing books for my blog (Megatheriums for Breakfast, on Medium), I sometimes re-read books I'm reviewing within days of finishing them for the first time. I did that with Dave Hutchinson's "Fractured Europe" sequence (starting with Europe in Autumn), and also with Julian Barnes' "The Sense of an Ending".
Got to be (because they have been sitting on the shelf too long):"Reamde" by Neal Stephenson
"Snuff" by Terry Pratchett
"Things We Didn't See Coming" by Steven Amsterdam
"Rome" by Robert Hughes
"Human Croquet" by Kate Atkinson
Hi, my name is David Grigg, and I live in Melbourne, Australia.I'm now describing myself as a 'born-again fiction writer'. I had some modest success writing SF in the 1970s and 1980s, but then stopped writing.
But, after a huge gap of 26 years in my writing career, since November last year I've written some 37 short pieces of fiction ranging in length from 250 words up to 5,200 words, a total of well over 40,000 words altogether.
And I've also set up a new web site to feature free short fiction by myself and a group of colleagues.
It's called The Narratorium and you'll find it here : http://narratorium.com. Please check it out. Free stories, no advertisements, what more could you ask?
