41817 Chris, I read Don Quixote a couple of years ago. I really liked parts of it, but on the whole it did not keep my interest. I finished it, because I am one of those that (almost) always finishes a book. It isn't one I would want to re-read.

41817 Hi, I'm Joanne from Florida. I just took early retirement from being a school librarian. After running a library for 7th-12th graders for the last ten years I realized I have not read that many classics. I am new to Good Reads; glad I found this group so quickly! I am looking forward to reading and discussing books I have missed. I have read Gone With the Wind before (twice) as it is one of my all-time favs. Looking forward to reading it again and discussing it for the quarterly read! So glad to be here!!

41817 Sonny,
Me too! My English teacher friend and I partnered on A Tale of Two Cities and Great Expectations and split her 10th graders in half. Since ToTC is my favorite Dickens book I always led that group. The last time we did it my friend wanted to switch, basically to force me to read GE! I LOVED it and was really glad she insisted! I gave her the newer novel Havisham for Christmas after that. I still need to read that one!
