I love this one! Excited to see what everyone else thinks. Not sure if I'm going to read it this month or not. I've picked out several October themed books already. I'll have to see if I can get through all of them first.
I can't pick one, but ones I've liked enough to buy my own copy or reread.Dracula
Jane Eyre
Frankenstein
The Woman in White
Great Expectations
Little Women
I have found that the older I get the more I like the Classics and the easier they are to read.
I'm undecided about Dickens. I hated Tale of Two Cities, but once I got into Great Expectations I couldn't put it down. It's one that has kept me thinking about months after I finished it. I struggled with Moby Dick. I felt like I understood the big story line, but didn't understand all the nautical terminology well enough to appreciate the descriptions and detail in the story.
Just started Sense and Sensibility, Jane Eyre is one of my favorites, we'll see how it goes.
Also started Uncle Silas in hopes of having a nice scary book for October.

I've read only one of his works, The Portrait Of A Lady, and though I made it through, I felt like I could have spent that time reading a much more entertaining book..."I love Turn of the Screw. Read it in a few days, but have started and stopped The Portrait of a Lady several times.
