This is one of the few I haven't read and it's the first one *sigh* I wish Kindle had it for free I've little money to spare these days. Or maybe I should look it up at the library...
One of my all time favorite books. I've read the entire series (by Baum) as well as some of Roger S Baum's books and some of Ruth Thompson's. Hoping one day to read them all. There is so much from the book I wish they could've put in the Judy Garland movie but I understand the movie would've been super long. One of my favorite parts was the China town stuff.
I just got to the Waterloo part last night & I may skim through a bit of it tonight as well. That wasn't really holding my interest. But I am so loving the rest of this book. I have the very long unabridged version.
I have started it but I am only just about to finish book one. I'm reading a lot of other things so it's taking me a bit to read it. I keep comparing it to the musical & movies so far LOL Perhaps I should've read it first.
Did any read it or is still reading it? I started it about two weeks ago & absolutely love it. Would love to talk about it with someone.
I have heard about this one. I really have to check it out. Gotten a lot of recommendations for this. Thank you so much =)Kwesi 章英狮 wrote: "If you want to read about Merlin, try The Lost Years of Merlin by T.A. Barron."
The only thing that bothered me about this book was that the cases discussed were not in any kind of order. I think we should have heard about them in consecutive order.
This was the first kindle book I ever got and I finished it not too long ago I really really enjoyed it
As much as I enjoyed it I really wish Dickens would have said a bit more about Scrooge & Isabel. I felt kinda cheated with their relationship.
Started it today but have read it about two or three timed before simply love it favorite movie version is Disney followed by muppets
Let me know when you start. Got a lot of books going right now but I don't mind reading a bunch at once & starting this one up again ;)
I had to read most of this for my British Lit class in college. We had many other things to read so we did not end up reading the whole thing. My book marker is still in place where we left off. I'd love to start reading it again one of these days.
Emma was one of my favorite Austen characters/books by far I watched the Gwenth Paltrow (sp?) movie and read the book some time later
I haven't read them all but for the most part I have loved every single one I have read so far. Some I did enjoy more than others though (A Midsummer night's Dream, Romeo & Juliet, Macbeth, Much Ado About Nothing being my favorites)
I am currently reading The Crystal Cave but am looking to read more Arthur/Merlin books. I want to read Thomas Mallory and Alfred Lord Tennyson's books. Any other suggestions? Thanks,
Jessi
I just could not get into it. I had to stop. It was very boring to me. Jane Eyre was so SO much better. Hope the rest of you enjoy more than I did.
