I'm sure I've learned lots of things. Problem is, I can't remember any of them. lol

As a dedicated minimalist, I really can't help. Clutter makes me feel crazy & almost physically ill. I am constantly reorganizing & throwing stuff away trying to reach some kind of zen ideal. The only things I've regretted getting rid of are 1) an Arco lamp and 2) some of the old dark blue globetrotter luggage (the kind British Airlines crews used to carry--and maybe still do).

What WAS I thinking? Must have been during one of my crazed clean-up phases.

Am I the only one who looks back fondly at the trash of our younger years?

Remember THE BIG LOVE? Florence Aadland's book was about her 15-year-old daughter's affair with the aging Errol Flynn. It was a masterwork of schlock and had an infamous first line IIRC. Does anyone remember what it was?

And how about MISS RONA? Rona Barrett was a Hollywood gossip purveyor & IIRC the book starts with her being seduced by some famous movie star complete with tacky dialogue and sleazy descriptions.

Not forgetting Confidential magazine that supposedly had the down and dirty on the celebs du jour.

Hi Sharon...I'd love to start a thread (if that's what they call it at goodreads) about the Boom Generation authors...who we loved, who we didn't, how they influenced us...Problem is, I have no idea how to start a new subject & just keep clicking around getting nowhere in particular...very confusing site at least at first...au secours! lol
