Hey Ranata, this may not be a fair question to ask you to compare but how do these stories hold up against the Interview With A Vampire books by Anne Rice?

I'm reading Odd Hours now... the 4th in the series. Good so far!

Oh cool, a bad girl hottie who shoots people! Awesome - a new recurring character for me to read about. Maybe she can give the men a run for their money. You should maybe read one of the Nina Pryce stories from Chuck Logan... she's a very feminine "tough girl".

True! He might be the ultimate recurring character.

Phil Broker is very similar to Lucas Davenport (created by John Sandford), and both characters and authors are from Minnesota. Broker's wife/ex-wife Nina Pryce is a bad-a$$ in her own right and is also a fantastic recurring character.

This was the first character (after Roland Deschain from The Dark Tower series) who won me over. After reading the first few "Prey" stories, I stopped caring what the story was about and wanted to see what was happening with Lucas more than anything else.

Only three stories so far, but I love this "odd"ball character that Dean created. Can't wait to see what he's up to next.

How can you not enjoy this guy? A cross between Rambo, Mel Gibson from Lethal Weapon, Arnold Schwarzeneggar and every other tough guy we've ever met.
