Some really excellent choices on this list like 1984 and The Foundation Trilogy.While lists like these that profess to have the best books might be open for debate, I do value them a lot for the ability to at least add to my "To-Read" List. I figure that if they warrant being on the list, enough people think highly of the novel for me to curate what gets in the pile.
More than Goodread Awards or these lists though, I do have a minimum 'star' rating for books and will not read books if they are rated below that. Does anyone else do that?

I am looking forward to diving into The Lost Kingdom by Bernard Cornwall in March and then later a trilogy from Ken Follet later this year, time permitting! I am finishing a nonfiction book on Anglo Saxon history so should be interesting.
