45177 I am still reading "Burned" by Ellen Hopkins. Burned (Burned, #1) by Ellen Hopkins I still really like this book. It is going very well. It is keeping me interested with all of the conflicts. I can't wait to see how everything turns out in the end.
-------------------------------------------
My peers are very influenced by advertisements. I can be easily influenced by advertisements but only if it is something I am already interested in. Things that make my peers buy something are if they just see it and want it or if they know something that someone else has and they want it they will go buy it. Advertisements that will get my friends to buy something are seeing peers having it. Also if they see someone famous that has something it could make it seem more important for them to get so they will buy it.

My Favorite Book of Numbers (Board Books). I would not read this for myself because it is a childrens book but I might read it to a kid.

45177 I am reading "Burned" by Ellen Hopkins. Right now the main character Pattyn has been sent to go live with her aunt in a small town in Nevada. She has been sent there so she can learn to behave. Pattyn is a mormon that does not live by the mormon rules. She parties, sneaks out, and has relationships with non-mormon guys. She has a sweet personality and is charmed easily by guys. After being sent to live with her aunt she has become more mature and has thought a lot about not being mormon anymore.

The book I entered to win is "Not My Daughter" by Barbara Delinsky.

I think school uniforms are a good idea if you have had them for a school since the start. I think that how people dress is a reason for someone to judge them and taking them away would help with judging. I do not think they would be good for our school though. We have never had them and I believe it would just cause people to act up. I feel like it would make SRRHS worse because students would violate the dress codes and would not follow the rules.

45177 If I could sit down to dinner with any person from history I would choose Rosa Parks. I would choose her because I believe she made a major impact on the integration of blacks and whites. We would talk about what gave her the courage to stand up for blacks and do the things she did, even though she knew the consequences. We would eat at a very expensive restaurant and eat sushi.

45177 I enjoy reading books a lot. I like reading because it gives me a way to use my imagination, and if you read a book more than once you can make it different and you notice little pieces you missed before. Although I have always enjoyed reading books, the genre of books I like has changed as I got older. I believe my upbringing has had a big impact on the fact that I like reading. My mom and dad have always been big readers and I believe that them reading to me a lot when I was younger is why I like reading now.

45177 The book I am currently reading is "A Step From Heaven" by An Na A Step from Heaven by An Na I have read 90 pages and the book is really good so far. It is about a girl named Young Ju. She hears she is moving to "Mi Gook" which is what they call America in Korea. She thinks that Mi Gook means heaven. After they move she figures out that Mi Gook does not mean heaven and her hopes are crushed. She has to go to school and learn all of the American ways and teach them to her mom, dad, and little brother. One thing that I do not like about the book is they way they say words in korean. It makes it hard to understand because it switches from english to korean. Although it is hard to understand sometimes it is a very good book and has been really interesting so far.

45177 My favorite book of all time would have to be,"The Adoration of Jenna Fox by Mary E. Pearson The Adoration of Jenna Fox by Mary E. Pearson The book is about a girl named Jenna who recently woke up from a year long coma. Not only does she have to recover from the horrible car accident, she has to figure out who she is. She forgot everything about her life and has to figure it out by watching home videos, and being told memories. This is my favorite book because it has lots of twists and turns that make you want to read more. It also never got boring because you were always finding new stuff out about her and her family.
