Also, now I'm reading Mini Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella and it's hilarious. I've read all the other books in the Shopaholic series, as well as Kinsella's other books, and I love them all. My book choices are all over the place, if you couldn't tell!
Josh Kilmer-Purcell, who wrote 'The Bucolic Plague' is speaking at the Coop in Harvard Square on Monday night, if anyone is interested. Thought I'd just pass that along!
I'm just finishing 'The Red Garden' by Alice Hoffman. I don't think it's as great as some of her others, 'The Probable Future' being my absolute favorite, but this one is still very interesting.I think next up I am going to read 'Moby Duck' which is about how in 1991 a cargo container fell off a ship and dropped 28,000 rubber duckies into the ocean. They've been found all over the world and this book is about all the beachcombers, oceanographers, environmentalists and other people that the author came in contact with. Sounds pretty interesting!
I have a stack of about 5 books waiting to be read (depending on the week, I can go through 2, 3, or 4). Right now I'm reading The Bucolic Plague by Josh Kilmer-Purcell. It's a memoir about him and his boyfriend, who are extremely successful Manhattanites and they buy a country house and accidentally become Gentleman Farmers. It's really great!
