46791 Maybe late coming to this thread. I agree wholeheartedly that trying to guess what Amazon's algorithm is a waste of time. Better would be to write better books. Perhaps figuring out what category best fits a book has value. Good covers are essential but paying for them can easily break the bank. Wish I was able to do my own but so far I haven't even tried. Bottom line I think is to keep writing (or if you think you should give up then you probably should). I will continue because I can't help myself. Sales are slow, perhaps cyclic though I don't have enough history to be sure of that. If the book is any good then each one that sells should up my potential to sell more of the next book. Naive, maybe but since I'm going to write the next book anyway, it keeps my outlook positive. My ramblings.
