Hehe - loving this! And, on the "secondary" topic (at least the most recent one) - I'm a Libertarian so I say bring it on! Of course, since I live in Iowa it won't be legal in my lifetime, but a reasonable facsimile grows wild along my bike trail. (And no one ever searches bike bags.)
I'm jumping in on the original question here. For myself, I'm pretty much 100% electronic now. However, I have several close friends and relatives who haven't made that leap (and possibly never will.) So, I do still buy printed books...for THEM. If I read an e-book that I think one of them will enjoy, I buy it for them. For myself, I have been offloading all but my most precious DTBs over the past three years, via several different avenues. In that time period I've sent over 500 of them to new homes and am still working on the rest of the stash. I'm only keeping those I really REALLY love.
Well, I'll admit to being a boomer ... pretty much smack in the middle of the demographic. I just "liked" the FB page and look forward to the posts.
Hey, all ... I'm Carla and I'm NOT a writer. But, I am a (rather voracious) reader, and I guess that's what you authors need, right? I live in the Midwest in the United States, but as an Air Force brat I'm pretty well traveled. That experience gave me a broad outlook on life and culture, and also allowed me to develop my lifelong reading habit (when you've just moved to someplace new and haven't had a chance to meet anyone or make friends yet, the library is your best friend.)
I enjoy reading a wide variety of material, as my Goodreads profile shows. One thing I no longer enjoy is reading "serial novels." I'm finding that technique to be tiresome (not to mention time consuming, i.e., "so many books, too little time") so I just don't read those anymore; apologies to any of you who write those.
Just about anything else is fair game and has an equal chance of showing up on my to-read list.
