I’m an award-winning poet and children’s book author, as well as a freelance writer and editor. I’m a member of my local chapter of the Idaho Writers League and #SCBWI. My shorter pieces have been featured in Hope Paige’s Anthology on loss BREAKING SAD in 2017 and AN OUNCE OF TRUTH, a fundraising anthology for a historic building in downtown Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. EGMooreAuthorNice to meet you!
I’ve been a mentor or mentee in several online contests and active in many large scale online events, including #PitMad #PBParty #PitchWars #PBPitch #StoryStorm and #NanoWrimo. I love giving back to the online writing community, so I’ll occasionally give away query critiques on the hashtag #QueryHelper.
I’m also an advocate for health and wellness, chiropractic and massage care, herbal and essential oil alternatives to western medicine and toxic home and body products, shopping local and supporting small businesses. As a freelancer, I wrote mostly in the wellness niche and also wrote middle grade history and science curriculum.
When I’m not telling “Mommy Made stories” to my three children or awaiting feedback for my latest manuscript, I can be found off-roading in North Idaho, baking something scrumptious, or in a plot-and-soul refreshing hike in the woods.

I know what you mean about happy endings. I’ve seen a lot of middle grade books that have that barely hopeful feel that comes with dystopian. I want mg MCs that are hopeful and positive. Lol. You might like my book Moon Daughter Rising or another one I’ve read recently with my 10yo titled The Red Pyramid.

Moon Daughter Rising - Middle Grade FantasyAnnalee’s dad went missing and no one is doing anything about it.
The police say he abandoned her, but Annalee knows better. Her aunt and uncle make her promise not to look for him, especially in the woods behind their family cabin for fear she’ll go missing, too.
When she finds her father’s trail, she breaks a promise and tells a lie, hoping she can save him. Doing so attracts Winpa the abominable ice witch, who chases Annalee into their tribe’s spirit world.
Annalee must seek help from an ancient grandmother and her spirit guides to grapple with her newfound ancestry and rescue her father and a grandfather she’s never known from their icy prison. Her journey will require courage, honesty, and mastering the power of the Moon Daughter rising within.
A beautiful weaving of fiction, MicMac tribe legends, and some moral truths we all must face.

7. Reader, have you ever wanted to hide in the dark with a book on a super sunny day?
Hi everyone! Tom, the group co-founder, is being modest and won't share his news. His book, ASSASSIN 13, launched yesterday and it's FREE for download today through the 20th! Be sure to grab your copy.http://amzn.to/2tU1zYn
Blurb:
Assassin 13 is a time travel thriller set in a dystopian future and 1927 Hollywood.
Lauren Ramirez, an Assassin 13, which means she's the best at her profession, is betrayed by her employer, the President of the United States, when she takes a high-rank target job to get information on her mother’s killer. While she's attempting to escape in a space shuttle from his trap, she hurtles through a time displacement anomaly and lands in the glam of 1927 Hollywood.
Lauren finds herself working for one of Hollywood's top actresses, Pauline Windsor, who is dating mafia member Benny Sorrentino. He is caught up in a gangland war with the Colombini brothers for the city's profitable bootlegging and gambling rings. Even as she clings to the revenge for her mother’s death and somehow fixing her broken shuttle to return for the information, Lauren's relationship with the people she meets, stunt pilot Remy Garnett, Pauline, and Pauline's children, all begin to change the hard surface of her heart.
When Pauline's relationship with Sorrentino draws her and her family into the gangland war, Lauren must decide whether to use her 22nd century talents and technology in their defense or abandon them to slip back into her time and get the information she needs to avenge her mother.
4. Oh my gosh yes! #bookloverunite It's like salve to my soul.5. Reader, have you ever read a book over a dozen times, and if so, which one?
Your blog is great! I was wondering if you'd be interested in posting a book launch post on the 15th for a friend of mine? It's his first ever blog tour and his novel is awesome (and it looks like its right up your alley, too!) I'm helping him with it because he struggles with online stuff. You can check it out here: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3... I know its last minute, so if not, no worries.
My blog is https://emilygmoorewriter.wixsite.com...

Okay, let's do another game! Answer the Reader, have you ever question, and then ask your own for the next commenter.1. Reader, have you ever finished reading two books on the same day?
J.A. wrote: "Currently reading The Willing Observer by K.L. Wicks. I'm about half-way through, and really enjoying this twisted tale told from the perspective of a serial stalker."So have you finished this? What did you think?
