What!!! The worldwide reknown professor of biochemistry. His Foundation series and Robot series are considered sci-fi classics. Asimov is undisputedly the most prolific writer of all time with over 500 books in print, the majority in the sci-fi genre. Will Smith starred in the movie I Robot, based on the book by the same name, a couple of years ago.

I like Asimov too. I've read a couple of his Foundation books as well as I Robot, and Robot Dreams. Nightfall is a pretty good read.

Hello everyone and thanks for the invite Olin. Now the rest of you can blame him if I get long winded. OSC is one of my favorite writers. I have read all the Ender books, Memory of Earth books, Alvin Maker books, and several others. My wife met him at a National Council for Teachers of English meeting in Atlanta and got me a signed edition of Shadow Puppets. She got to the book signing late and everyone was gone, except for a couple of people just milling around at the ends of the aisles. She commented to a friend she was with, that OSC was my favorite writer and how disappointed I was going to be when she told me about missing him when a gentleman standing with his back to them at the end of the aisle spoke up and said something like " well, you never know when he'll show back up". He turned around and introduced himself, pulled a book off a stack, signed it and told her he didn't want her husband to be disappointed. She and her friend were able to talk with him for a little bit before he left. She told me that he was a very interesting and nice person. Anyway, having read all of these books, and don't get me wrong, I love Enders Game, I believe that his writing and storytelling got better as the books continued. Enders Shadow is definitely a must read. And Stefhu is correct, Most of the shadow series is more International Political Intrigue(sp) than science fiction, but they involve a lot of the characters in the Enders Game books. If you have the time, read The Worthing Chronicles and
the Memory of Earth books.
