definitely adds to how oskar is growing throughout the story. meeting a bunch of older strangers and trying to understand their perspective from such a young age is definitely eye opening for him. although i feel sometimes that he acts a little older than someone his age.
yeah it was weird, i was thinking 'youre the doorman man, and this is probably the one dude in the building you dont already know, and now youre meeting him, get pumped!' but he was really not into it which kinda bummed me out
judging by the ways in which each of them recall the past, do you think Oskar is more like his grandmother or grandfather?
i think that Mr. Black will have a positive influence on him and will help him move on. or he will bottle up his emotions like he has mentioned doing already
i think its just to show Oskar's thought process. but also to emphasize that Stephen Hawking is someone who he looks upto
