50x66 Jennifer,

Sometimes I outline. Most of the time I write down the biggest scenes that will occur in my story and I figure out how to get from one to another. As far as order goes, I will dash off the beginning and figure out at least one ending...then from there I work in order from the beginning.

If I have a thought or an idea that needs to be added before or a scene that will happen later, I will jot it down, but I continue in order.

Sounds like I don't do a lot of prep work, but it works for me. As longs as I have a skeleton of my story written down, I'll figure it out as I go, which for me, is the best part of writing!

50x66 Jennifer,

I have written many screenplays. Nothing major. One script is still in production from 2 years ago, lol. You can view a couple of short films the producers posted on Youtube.

The Stages of Love: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P6v0oE...

Profound Growth: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCCH66...

I just sold a short script earlier this month and it's in production right now.

I think writing screenplays did help me in some aspects of fiction writing. With plot, they help keep storylines on point and help keep the flow consistently moving, if that makes sense. The biggest help I attribute screenplay writing is with dialogue. With scripts you have to keep lines real and tight. No room for extra words and that translates well into fiction writing. I get many readers complimenting me on my realistic dialog and speech and interactions between characters. I have nothing to do with that...I credit screenplay writing :)

Thanks for purchasing Nightcry...hope you enjoy!

50x66 Have a question on how I write characters, plot and what not? Bring them on! I'll start by saying I try to write at least 2,000 words a day...not necessarily on the same project...

50x66 What got me into writing? Stephen King. I remember when I was 15, I was reading Cujo. We all know that wasn't his best book and I thought to myself, "Hey, I can do better!" I tried and I failed, but I instantly fell in love with creating characters, moving plots along and describing things. Since then I have been writing anything and everything nearly every moment I can.

50x66 Have any questions about Nightcry? It's a supernatural/mystery, though some have called it a horror novel, but I'll answer any questions no matter what you call it :)
