I have to admit, I was pretty obsessed when I first read Twilight. I was 12...I think. It started dwindling once I read the last book, and then it really went away once I watched the movie. That was...bad. Ha. BUT I gotta say, I think they're getting progressively better. Anyways, in Twilight she basically just keeps saying how beautiful gorgeous Edward is and it starts to get annoying. It focuses more on the romance than anything else. And she fell REALLY HARD REALLY FAST. When he left, she was suicidal. What does that tell our girls today? That they need a 107 year old vampire to make their life worth living? No. That's bad. The Hunger Games on the other hand, has so many more aspects and themes to it. I love how it focuses on humanity, totalitarian government in dystopia, taking control, violence (but not pointless), AND romance. Katniss is a tough chick that knows how to get through, especially when a male isn't around to save her (or to start a revolution). I love this book for so many reasons. And everyone I recommend it to loves it as well, which is definitely a plus! :)
