I suppose this doesn't immediately seem to fit, but I found that the author definitely touched on spiritual themes: Knowing Jesse by Marianne Leone. I just reviewed it on my Goodreads feed. Her story of her son's life with serious disabilities and how it affected her family brings up spiritual-related issues like what it means to be human, how love and hope can overcome fear and despair, etc.
