In my very first interview ever, I was struck dumb by the question, "Who's your favorite author?"
Silly question! Readers have lots of favorites, and we can't just pick one.
Obviously, Shakespeare is one of my all-time greats. Few understand character like he did, which is why he gets star billing in SHAKESPEARE'S BLOOD, even though he's been dead quite a while when the story begins.

This is where you get to ask me questions about the book.

I'm often told, "I have a great story in my head. How do I go about writing it down?"
For me, the answer is that I can't NOT write it down, despite life's interruptions, despite nagging RSI in both arms, despite everything.
So how do you get started, and how do you keep going?
