I haven't read your fiction yet, but I will. I read Bad Mother and I just want to thank you for your courage and honesty about the whole motherhood thing. I jumped through a zillion hoops to have my children and so naturally I felt like I should be singing and dancing all the while baking bread and growing organic food. I was so grateful to read a perspective that underscored mine. I'm intrigued by the idea of loving one child over the other (since I've always suspected my mother of loving my sister more)so I'm eager to read about that.
My question (sorry for long preamble) is do you have a plot in mind when you write or is there emotional territory you want to explore and then the plot comes?
