49774 As you can see, we haven't been very productive on Goodreads over the last (cough) couple of years. We are motivated to rectify this by getting your input, what do you want to see? what topics do you want to discuss? and everything in between, no topic is too small.

Please make a comment below or you're welcome to email us at booktalk@mymcpl.org

We can't wait to hear from you!

Hi Sonia

This link will take you to our MCPL.org Book Group Services page. If you click on the 'kitkeeper 1' link it will take you to our listing, where you are able to view the book group collection as it stands. (684 title)
You are able to book up to a year in advance. If your interested in using our kits for your book group, contact your local branch about setting up this service. They will take you through how the process works. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me lpalmer@mymcpl.org

We have changed our reading in some form, the way that movies and TV influences us. But reading is always about, its just different in comparison to what it was.

49774 one more book left to go! I was really hoping the vinegar girl would have came out during the winter reading challenge sadly I will have to wait! that book is a retelling of The Taming of the Shrew! which is by far my favorite Shakespeare story! so book number 5 is going to be wolf by Wolf! I'm very excited to read this title I've heard so many good things about it! I better get cracking isn't much time left :-)

Hi Toni.
The titles refer to books added to the Book Group Collection. Kit Keeper is the software we use for branches to make bookings on these titles for our in-house book groups, and community book groups in our area.
These kit keeper titles and many more are available for booking, if you'd like more information, I would be happy to assist you.

One for the money was such a disaster. Debbie Reynolds...don't even get me started on her, I so agree!!!!. Grandma Mazur is old, little, a spitfire! I know she's passed now, someone like Estelle Getty should of been Grandma Mazur!!!!

49774 With all the remakes the film co's like to do, though its already pretty perfect, I would like to see a remake of 'The Maltese Falcon'. As who would portray..that would depend on the film style. But Benedict Cumberbatch would be a great start!

I want to high five you!!! Do you know how mad I was after I watched the movie. Twenty + books a fan base who knows the characters and who were very much looking forward to a movie adaptation of One for the Money, what did we get... actors who had no ideas who their characters were. Especially Ranger... the scene where he's in the gun store helping Stephanie buy a guy...there is NO WAY ranger would have looked down the barrel of the gun. Ranger is smooth, Ranger knows his stuff!!.... I would have liked Jennifer Esposito as Stephanie.
