friend this is the only mri study about the jhannas that Im aware of. there is no other studies about the others ASC. ( for some reason I wasnt able to attch the pdf file)

friend there are three groups of ASC produced by meditation one group ( 9 jhanas) are produced around the mesolimbic area specificaly in the nucleus acumbens ( the most fascinating of them the second jhana resembles a strong dosage of heroin--> there is only one MRI image study about it) the second group "the insight" ( probably happens in both the right side of the amigdala and the insula--> there is no MRI image study about it, as far as Im aware--> Its extremely difficult to discribe how it feels like) the third group the 5 or 6 Abhijnas (a) bhudism treat them as superpowers b) science dont belive them to be real c) they do exist and they resemble a psychedelic drug experience like ayahuasca)

have these aaltered traits ever been studied? does neurocience belive them? Last year I had this experience that made me belive that they are real

has anyone ever studied or sperienced the jhanas? last year I was able to access them, and I was hoping to know more about it
