I've read both "Just Kids" and "Paris Wife". Both are big name droppers. The writing style of "Just Kids" makes it boring . . . we did this, then we did that. You know the guy dies from Aids, so why read it. "Paris Wife", on the other hand, kept my interest all the way through. I wanted to know who was the husband stealer, what happened to their son, and how she supported herself without him. I'm on the waiting list for "Moveable Feast" because I want to know his side of the story.

Ever since "Picture of Dorian Grey", where the lead just didn't look like the guy I pictured when reading the book, I try not to see movies of books I've read, but . . . I did go see "Eat, Pray, Love". I spent the whole movie telling my friend how it differed from the book. I think she got annoyed. That said . . . I can't wait for August 10.

Lincoln by Jani..."I really liked Shanghai Girls, but it ended like you knew there'd be a sequel . . . and wouldn't you know it . . .

Summer books have to be "girlie", like anything by Michael Lee West . . . I can't believe there are still people who haven't read "The Help" . . . Imagine if they make "Room" into a movie . . . I have a stack by Kristin Hannah that I haven't read, glad to know you guys like her
