17. Europe - Sweden: Anxious People by Fredrik Backman - Excellent story about how life gets overwhelming and how we all need each other. I appreciated the reminder to always look for the small ways we can connect and help another person. Very funny ... I laughed out loud many times.
16. Europe - Italy: The Lovers by Paolo Cognetti ... Sparse, simple, lovely tribute to the mountains that will be here long after us.
15. Europe - England: The Reading List by Sara Nisha Adams. Excellent story about the power of books to create community, share kindness, and bravely face the daily challenges of life. And at the very end, the author added an extra list of books that have helped her overcome tough days. Loved this book!
12. Europe - Scotland: The Bookshop on the Corner, by Jenny Colgan … Delightful, sweet, and great descriptions of weather and small-town culture in Scotland.
11. Europe - Poland: Half Life by Jillian Cantor - Intriguing story about what Marie Curie's life and incredible scientific discoveries might have looked like, if she had chosen a different direction at a young age.
9. North America - Canada: The Unquiet Dead - 5 stars, excellent page turner, learned a lot about the Yugoslavian wars
8. South America - Belize: The Fallen Stones: Chasing Blue Butterflies, Mayan Secrets, and Happily Ever After in Belize
My first challenge! Hopefully I post this correctly.1. (Home country) North America - USA: The Every by Dave Eggers
