Commensurate: I found this word while reading on one of my blogging websites. Commensurate means having the same measure; corresponding in amount. I used this word when I was having a conversation with my mom because she is always overworking and she doesn't get paid for all the work she does. I said, "The amount you work does not commensurate with the amount of money on your paycheck".Spur: I read this word while reading an article about Starbucks. Spur means anything that goads, impels, or urges, as to action, speed, or achievement. I used this word when I was talking to my sister about studying for a test that I had. I said, "I have a test on Monday, now that it's already Sunday, I have to spur studying".
Ambrosial: I heard this word while I was watching a TV show with my cousin. Ambrosial means exceptionally pleasing to taste or smell; especially delicious or fragrant. My grandparents stayed over this week and she makes the most delicious food ever. When I came home from work on Saturday I said, "What did you make, it is ambrosial!"
1. Covet: I found this word on a fashion website and it means to desire wrongfully, inordinately, or without due regard for the rights of others. I used this word when I was talking with my sister about someone's wardrobe on TV, I said, "I covet her whole entire closet, I want everything inside of it, I'm going to steal that whole closet of hers!"2. Nefarious: I heard this word while I was watching the news with my parents. Nefarious means extremely wicked or villainous; iniquitous. I used this word when I was hanging out with my friends and we were talking about getting back at our other friends for pranking us. I said, "We have to think of a nefarious plan to get back at them". They ended up laughing at me because they didn't know what I was talking about since it was a new word that I found.
3. Progeny: I read this word while reading a random article I saw on Yahoo called a Rin Tin Tin. Progeny means a descendant or offspring, as a child, plant, or animal. Over the weekend my aunt announced that she was pregnant. I then told the family that it was her third progeny, just like my family, we have three children.

My three juicy words are:1. Perennial: I read this word when I was reading a fashion blog. Perennial means lasting for an indefinitely long time. I used this word over the weekend while at Walmart in the makeup aisle. I told my friend that this specific lipstick was perennial and it would last all day.
2. Kawaii: I was on a blogging website and there is this girl that I follow and on her blog I always read the word Kawaii, I never knew what it meant until I looked it up and it is an adjective in Japanese meaning pretty, cute, lovely, charming, and darling. I used this word to describe my friend's style of clothing and basically all the stuff she owns. It turns out she already knew the word but it was totally new to me.
3. Epigram: I read this word in a poem that I was reading in my HUM142 class. An epigram is a short, often satirical poem dealing concisely with a single subject and usually ending with a witty or ingenious turn of thought. I compared the word from a poem to a book we are reading in the same class. I told my friend that the Guerrilla Girls' book was an epigram because every time I get to the end of a chapter it really makes me think about what I just read.
