I think that Noodles should go to jail just as long as E because they both committed crimes, and maybe Noodles just did it for kicks and E did it for Bills (with some money on the side) but they both did it. It was a bad decision that had terrible consequences and if they hadn't done it.
“If a man steals bread to feed his starving family, is he wrong?” I don't think what the man did was wrong because he did it to feed his family which is more important. He decided that it was worth the risk, plus it's either his family or the family he's stealing from and ten out of ten times I would pick my family. Who wouldn't? The guy with the bread stolen probably doesn't need the bread anyway.
I believe that this situation that the sharks and jets find themselves in, is not only possible, but has happened many times. The unfortunate truth is, there are turf wars all the time. In the middle east, there are wars fought for decades all about who gets what turf and who wants more, etc. I can connect to unfair judgements because I, as well as almost everyone in the universe makes judgements based on peoples physical characteristics and not on their personalities. In West Side Story, the P.R.'s are judged by not only the Jets but by the police officers too. The police officers even offered to help the Jets get the Sharks off the streets.
My character is Johnny, he is probably the most loyal character in the book. I think this because he is loyal to Ponyboy. For example, he followed Ponyboy into the fire, and was killed in that Fire! That shows he is so loyal to Ponyboy that he would die for him. Another reason Johnny is loyal is he would do whatever Dally wanted him to. He isn't doing this to conform with the gang but because he idolizes every word Dally says. This shows he is loyal to Dally as well.
I think the poem neighbors relates to The Outsiders. I think that because, Neighbors is about a fence separating people. In The Outsiders there is a social barrier separating the Soc's and the Greasers. In The Outsiders, the greasers want to break that "fence" of barrier. The fence is split up between the east and the west. That is why they are always rumbling. The west is the soc's and the east is the west.
Cherry was right to say that it was rough all over, but she shouldn't have even compared her struggle to Ponyboys struggle. Ponyboy has no parents, no money, and he is so close to losing the only thing that he has, his brothers. Cherry is mad because she has to much and she doesn't know what to do with all the stuff she has. Her type of rough is whe she hurts her reputation by talking to a greaser. Ponyboy's type of rough is when someone gets jumped or killed.
I agree with this statement completely. If there was no community or groups there would be chaos. In fact there would be no government, no countries and no one would share common beliefs. After world war two the United States of America and Europe created NATO so that nothing like the Nazis could ever happen again. They created a community to change the world for the better.

I have just finished reading an article http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/kep... that was written to inform me about a new planet that was found in a solar system near to us. It is earth's "twin" and looks like it can be inhabitable. The author was addressing an audience who is interested in the wonders of christmas. It was an informational essay so it provided information about how far away it was and its average temperature. I couldn't find any biast's since it was an informational article.
This applies to absolutely true diary because Arnold is getting the same treatment that the girl in the story is by the people at Reardan. I know that from the chapter Fighting Monsters. Arnold is always getting bullied by the fact he is indian and everyone follows the stereotypes against him.Arnold fights back more than the lady in this story. Even if Arnold looses those fights he still stands up for himself. The lady in this story never stands up for herself.
I think that Arnold tells Rowdy he will die if he stays with him because Arnold believes he might as well be dead if he decides not to do anything with his life. One example is that everyone on the reservation has already given up and accepted the fact that they are probably not going to anything worth telling their kids. Arnold thinks that he still has a chance to have a good life and do what he wants to do but only if he transfers to the "rich white school".I think Rowdy refused to go to the other school because he doesn't want another chance to prove himself. He doesn't want to let everyone down like he already has. I also think that he is offended because Rowdy thinks Arnold is not satisfied with all that Rowdy has done for him. Rowdy thinks that Arnold thinks he is better than all of them and that he deserves more. I think that is why Rowdy punched Arnold in his fragile hair.
I believe that Mr. P wanted to "kill the Indian to save the child" because he always thought that the culture of most Indians was wrong. He thought it was the right thing to go into the reservation and teach them how "white people think".What Arnold means when he says his sister is "trapped" is he believes that she can do a lot better than staying around in his family's basement. He also feels like she might sit all day reading those novels so she might be trapped in them too.
I interviewed my dad and he said the most important thing to him is his old family photo from when he was a kid. He said it reminded him of the time he stuck his vast head inside a gate trying to reach for on of his McDonalds toys. He also said that it made him remember the smell of his mom always cooking. It reminded him of the sweet smell. My dad got it at his graduation from the 5th grade.
