56640 Although not a novel but rather a collection of stories, verse, prose poems, and experiments centered around the theme of place--belonging, escaping, traveling, and adapting to different places--my just released book Sojourner (http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17...) seeks reviewers. I don't have and copies yet--as I live in Italy they're taking some time to get to me) but you can get one for less than $10 on Amazon and I would be happy to trade reviews or correspond with anyone interested--promoting your review venue on my own various social media. You can preview some of the texts (and listen to performances of them) on my blog: http://leefoust.blogspot.it/search/la...

Thanks for listening,

Cheers!

56640 Hello,

I am Lee Foust, a California Bay Area native who has lived in Florence, Italy, for about 15 years now. I teach Creative Writing and Literature courses at various American study abroad programs here in Florence and am therefore, by profession, both a reader and a writer. I have just published my first book, Sojourner (http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17...), a collection of short stories, verse, prose poems, and some experimental prose pieces exploring the mysteries of belonging to, escaping from, and exploring familiar and unfamiliar places. The book has just been released and although friends in the USA have already received copies that they ordered on amazon etc. I have yet to get my own copy! Still, I would be thrilled if anyone out there is interested enough in the topic or the form to read/review it and I would be happy to trade reviews with other writers of literary fiction and verse. I'm connected to all of the various social media and have a web site (www.leefoust.com) and any advice or feedback is always welcome here--I'm a first time indi author so I probably need lots of advice. I've also begun a Pinterest page of authors talking about writing which my fellow writers might enjoy (http://pinterest.com/leefoust/books-a...). Email me at leefoust@gmail.com.

Looking forward to hearing from some of you,

Lee

56640 I'm waiting for the layout proofs of my upcoming collection, __Sojourner__, poems, stories and sketches on the theme of otherness: travel, living abroad, escape. Have finished the first day and working on the second of a novel in frames (a bit like Boccaccio's __Decameron__) in which characters tell each other stories--it's based on the Medieval myth of __The Three Living and the Three Dead__. Three hunters come across three skeletons at the cross roads and they share tales of death and life. The project is to get six tales a day for a week. Also my publisher gave me a totally incompetent webdesigner so I just designed my own website leefoust.com--feedback welcome!
