I'm not in the mood to write this morning so I'm playing with goodreads instead, because the NaNo site is down again.i'm at 33,???. But this story is dragging on and on. I'm at day 2 out of 14 day story line. Plus the after stuff. I'm frustrated at this point with myself for such a complicated story line and it's really killing my mood to write.
Some people participate in NaNoFiMo which is finishing your novel in December. Because a lot people don't believe 50K is a complete novel. And this year, my story won't even be near completed the way it's going so I'll likely be doing FiMo. I don't know the websites off hand.March is consider NaNoEdMo. In which you are challenged to edit for at least 50 hours during the month. Tracking this is a little harder, at least for me.
I wouldn't reccommend starting editing Dec 1. A book usually needs to perculate for a few weeks at the very least before you take a more critical look at it. That said, I've never actually successfully edited either of my Nano novels. I vow to finish my first NaNo into a complete story at some point, I just love the characters/story idea that much. My second year was a flop story and this one is crazy long.
So, Nov 30/Dec 1- you congraulate yourself for writing as much as you did during November and get everything done that you put off for the month.
How's everyone doing so far? Day 2. I can't believe it's going so well for me so far. I've done two days of 3,000 words a day. So I'm feeling quite confident so far. I have to get some school work done later today so I'm glad to have over my quota written this morning. Hope everyone has a good weekend.
Not preparing yet. Trying to get ahead in my homework so I'll have time to NaNo. I read all different genres which all find a way into my NaNo, so I don't avoid any books. I don't even have my NaNo plot chosen yet. I had it set last year and now it's changing. I do this every year.
