Please try the original link in message 1. It should be working fine, now. Again, my apologies. No lumps of coal for me, please. š
Have fun with this. Thanks for your patience.
Hello, everyone! We are so glad you are interested in being a part of this event. We are working on the link. Sorry for the inconvenience.
It's time for one of our most beloved group activities! Help us spread the reading joy by sending and receiving the gift of books!Participation in Secret Santa is done through email, so you are required to provide a valid email address to join. Please make sure it is an email you check regularly!
Here's how it works:
1. Sign up in this thread so we know all participants are group members.
2. Fill out this form before December 1: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1QQ_B...
3. This survey will ask if you would prefer a Kindle ebook, Audible audiobook, or physical book (you will receive a book in the same format you send), request an email address, and allow you to provide details about what kind of book you'd like. Some members have even created Secret Santa shelves to give their Santas ideas.
4. By December 3, you will receive an email from me providing the name, profile link, and information about your Santee. Please send your gift as soon as possible, but no later than December 15!
5. Do your research and shopping, and send your Santee a book.
Everyone will receive a book!
This is not something you're expected to spend a fortune on. The books don't need to be new (send one of your favorites from your own collection or pick up something from a used bookstore), and they don't need to be costly (you can send something in the public domain). It's the thought that counts! Your Santa will send you a book he or she thinks you'll like, and you'll have a new book to try out.
We're a global group, so all members regardless of location are encouraged to participate.
Some guidelines:
- You must be a member of our group.
- Due to copyright restrictions, Kindle ebooks and Audible audio books can only be gifted to someone in the same country. If you are the only person signing up in your country, you may be asked to change your book format choice to "physical" book.
- Everyone in the physical book group will be asked if they're willing and able to ship abroad. Please note: if you're the only person participating from your country, you will, by default, need to ship abroad if you go the physical book route. If you are ordering a new book online, you can often order from a store in your recipientās country.
- If you sign up and do not send a gift, or do not reply to follow-up messages, you will be banned from participating in Secret Santa in the future.
Please only sign up if you're truly willing and able to send a book! I will be following up by email, so please check your messages regularly!
Have fun! Happy holidays!
Joining with a goal of 2 books. (Progress: 0/2)1. Read a book with an animal as a main character or narrator. A Wolf Called Romeo
3. Read a book with a bird in the text, title, or cover art. Murder With Peacocks

2026 Yearly Theme Nominations!Hello Fellow Readers!
Preparations for 2026 are underway and it is time for you, our members, to help us choose 2026ās yearly theme! Post your ideas in this thread. It will remain open until October 15th. The mods will then create a poll and send an extra message on October 16th so that each group member may vote for their favorite theme!
Rules
- You may either suggest one theme OR second one theme!
- Themes must be nominated AND seconded by a different member in order to get into the poll.
- Moderators reserve the right to modify, refine, or adjust themes as necessary. This isn't to restrict your creativity, just to make it more accessible and enjoyable for everyone!
- To keep the poll manageable, we may limit the total number of ideas.
Good yearly themes are broad enough to be able to create quarterly themes throughout the year. For example, given the nominations of āroses" and "flowers," we would choose the broader term "flowers" because it includes "roses.ā See the past themes below for an inspiration of what we're looking for. Themes used in the past are not eligible to be used again.
When submitting your nomination, feel free to share how it could be applied to quarterly themes.

My reading didn't quite go as planned, this weekend. I'll add my own little bit of progress tomorrow.I feel like this has been a successful readathon and I hope you all will join us again for the first team readathon of 2026!

The individual readathons are more laid back than team readathons.
You may repeat prompts or pick and choose prompts. Even the discussion questions are optional.
JennH wrote: "Theresa wrote: "JennH wrote: "So you mention that the individual readathons are not as strict.... Graphic novels are generally excluded from the team readathons, but can they be read for this one?"..."You're welcome. If I'm being honest, I had to look around to find it, even though I knew it was there somewhere. š
