I know it's not even officially summer yet, but I'm trying to plan ahead for once! I'm organizing a big (I hope!) print book giveaway to run throughout December. I'll host it on my website and on my blog. I'll also send out the details to my newsletter subscribers. Currently my list is just under 4500, but I have a few newsletter building events running this summer and hope that see that number grow considerably. Unlike most of my giveaways, readers won't have to be newsletter subscribers to enter.
Some details:
1. I write within the mystery/suspense/thriller genres, and therefore most of my reach is to readers with these preferences. I'm fine with offering books outside these parameters, but be aware that not all of my readers will venture into fantasy, sci-fi, etc.
2. Individual authors will be responsible for shipping out their books to winners. The giveaway will be worldwide, so be aware that shipping could be pricey depending on where your winner lives. (And where you live.)
3. You can offer more than one title if you want, but only one copy of each title.
4. I'll provide you with the giveaway page links for my website and blog, and also the direct link for the entry form, so you can promote as much as you want through the month.
5. The number of winners will depend on the number of books we have to offer. While it's always fun to offer a pile of books to one winner, it's not logical from a marketing standpoint, since many people only read 10 or 12 books a year. Ideally, I'm thinking 2 or 3 books per winner, with 10 winners. So we need at least 20 books.
That's the basics for now. Let me know if you're interested and/or if you have any questions.

Start a new topic thread for any group giveaway you'd like to organize.

The Gmail account is always reliable. The other one glitches now and then, and tech support has been utterly useless. I'll set that up for you soon, and I'll send the details when I have it scheduled.

Hello all!
Please feel free to invite author friends you think might be interested.
You're welcome to start new threads for promotion chat or any topics you want to discuss. If you need me to start a new category or thread, just let me know.

Whenever you have time is fine.

Julie, if you want to send me an excerpt, I'll post a spotlight on my blog.

Perfect, Khaled!
No Justice is the first book in my Michael Sykora Series. It's a permafree download on Amazon.
Amazon Description:
Driven by grief, Michael Sykora started his life of killing in a blind rage. But then it became something he was good at. Even something he...liked.
To most who know him, Michael is a software designer, a smart—but average—workaholic. To a chosen few, Michael is something else: a part-time hit man whose specialty is eliminating hard-core criminals.
When Nicki, a close friend, finds herself in trouble, Michael steps in. Having lost his fiancée to a brutal crime, Michael will do anything to keep from losing another woman in his life.
Michael Sykora has managed to keep his two personas separate. Until now.
*
Short Description, if you prefer:
Michael Sykora never intended to become a hit man. But when the justice system failed, murder became the best option. Now someone he cares about is in trouble, and he will stop at nothing to protect her.

Post your promotions for paranormal and supernatural in this thread. Please start a new thread for each title.

I do twice a month, as well, Khaled. Usually right around the first and somewhere in the third week. I have a newsletter going out on the 22nd if you have a promo around then that you'd like me to include.

I have great luck with newsletter swaps, but I'm finding the same people often post in the groups and I'd like more variety. Plus, as you said, free is always good!

That would be fine, Julie. But I'm wondering if there would be enough interest to bother inviting people. I don't want authors simply posting their books and leaving without ever reciprocating. I've joined two newsletter swap groups, but authors have to pay to include their books. I thought it would be nice to have a free gathering place for this sort of thing.
