i think that she will hook up w/balthazar. i hope so! does anyone remember what year Balt is in 'HS' compared to B?

the book comes out in march. I don't think Lucas and Bianca will ever be happy together; I don't mean to be a debbie downer but they are too different. He can't really accept what she is, her family hates him, and she can't NOT be a vampire. She will have to kill someone someday in order to become what she is and I can see Lucas not being able to get over her killing someone even if it is some old person that wants to die in a nursing home. I think that she is foreshadowed to be with Balthazar, they keep on saying that he will understand and would be a better match. I know people compare all vamp ya books now adays to twilight and thats part of the reason i dont think that she will bew/lucas. I mean, in reality you probably shouldnt change for anyone but it seems like in vamp books people do a 180. bella turning into a vamp, same w/zoey, etc... unfortunately theres just too much baggage with lucas. i would like for it to work out, but i dont see it happening he cant have bianca and his mom. someone has to go

Yeah, I am assuming that the other novels will be set at Evernight School, and there are at least 3 more novels. Surely, if they are all set in the school, Bianca will not be able to obtain a relationship with Lucas while hiding it from everyone. Out of sight, out of mind--go Balthazar!

Yeah, I agree with what you are saying. Although I do not think it is as much about class, as it is about species. Inevitably Lucas will have to become a vampire if he wants to stay with Bianca, whereas Bianca already is. Also, Bianca's parents and Balt both say that Balthazar is better for her, and I do think they are just stating the facts. I like Lucas, but it is not the same feeling that I have for Edward in Twilight, you know? The feeling that she must be with him or she will cease to be? No, I think Bianca could be perfectly content with Balthazar, but if love is what she wants, she may be better of with Lucas. In other words, I relate Balthazar more to Edward, maybe because he too is a vampire, and Lucas more to Jacob. And I much prefer Edward.

Now, I know that many of you who are Evernight fans are vampire fiction fans in general, and anyone can see that in Twilight there is a clear winner in the love game between Edward and Jacob. Edward reigns supreme. I don't care what anyone says :). However, in Evernight I kinda like Balthazar equal to Lucas, and I was wondering if anyone else felt this way.

When comparing teen vampire series, Evernight can not be overlooked! This is in my opinion the BEST vampire series out to date. While I love Twilight, there is just something magical about the way that Gray's characters appeal to readers. She puts just enough emotional strife between Lucas and Bianca, without making there romance seem more tragic than magic! I really look forward to Stargazer coming out!
