59349 I agree with Everyman. I prefer to have a schedule so that I can discuss as time goes on and I can read other things. Also if I fall behind (heading to the great Mouse House in 10 days) I can catch up and discuss without spoiling the book.
59349 Wow...not an ending I expected.

Overall I enjoyed this book. She painted such a rich picture of the surroundings and the moors. I don't typically like descriptive passages but for once I was mesmerized. Such a sad group of people. I cannot imagine living a life in such isolation

Heathcliff what a complicated character.....really do likable as a foundling then so mistreated by Hindley and to a lesser degree by Catherine in his youth. How much that time molded him

Little Catherine was the one character I truly liked. She was so full of life even through the constraints of her doting father. She seemed to be genuinely good and sought to help rather than hurt people...well other than Hareton. I was happy to see Cathy and Hareton together at the rnd
59349 I've made it to the halfway point. I'm so curious about what ails Catherine. Perhaps rheumatic fever? I cannot imagine living in such complete isolation. I sure that encourages a certain level of dysfunction. I dislike Edgar. Not really sure why. Quite simply he annoys me

59349 Depending on when you want to start I may join you.
59349 I'm through the first 4 chapters and am enjoying it immensely. It's funny though the voices I hear in my head are southern not English. I have to keep reminding myself this isn't taking place on a southern plantation.
