The platform and I’m a big fan. Sorry for the break in my comment but on my phone I could no longer view my writing, due to the keyboard frame overlapping the text field. A bug in the iOS version of Goodreads. If anyone has any questions about LibriVox I’ll be happy to try and help you. 💚
If you are a fan of works which are older than 98 years, then LibriVox will be perfect for you. They are an offshoot of Project Gutenberg, which strives to digitize printed material. All involved in LibriVox are volunteers so some of the recordings you may find less than palatable. My experience has been that when a recoding isn’t too great, that other folks will record another version of it.
All the books are in the public domain, so that’s how they are able to provide them at no charge.
Also some professional voice artists will donate their talents and have read many of the books listed on the 13K+ database.
