So, I sorta kinda fell off on checking Kristin Cashore's blog but I hope everyone else is keeping up to date! Here are some small things about one of the new books she is writing. http://kristincashore.blogspot.com/20...
Eryn wrote: "I love this series so much i have read each book a total of 5 times each since first finding them in late 2013."Each book FIVE times??? Wow! I don't think I've ever read a single book that much. So glad you like the series and thanks for joining the group!
Yeah, so far she doesn't have anymore planned for Graceling but according to her blog she is currently working on three other books. Get excited!!!
Hello everyone! This is sort of an update post to keep the group semi active and to let everyone know this moderator is still here. Thank you, all 61 of you, for joining the Graceling Realm group on GR!Hopefully all of you know this but if you don't Kristin Cashore has her own blog and keeps it pretty up to date on all kinds of stuff. I'll link it here. If you every want to talk about one of her blog post with a fellow fan feel free to post here!
So far, I loved the post she made about the We Need Diverse Books campaign.
Her statement is very accurate, heart warming, and made me appreciate her even more. Be sure to check out more about the We Need Diverse Books Campaign here: http://weneeddiversebooks.tumblr.com/
Alicia wrote: "QUESTION: Does Fire show up in Bitterblue???????"Yes. I wont say when, wont say how, wont say why but she does make an appearance. ^_^
Joy wrote: "I Imagined Po as Tom Hiddleston and me as Katsa ❤"LOL!!! I can get you wanting to be Katsa but Tom Hiddleston is sadly too old to play Po. A great actor nonetheless.
Her hair is described that way to us so in our mind we can picture our own version of this impossible. All those strands add up to create one physical aspect of her, to look like fire. We shouldn't be asking for the impossible. As long as her hair is a brilliant shade of orange/red, which they can do, the majority of us should be pleased. As we know there is more to Fire then her looks.
I agree with that. Hopefully they can find a talented actress. Appearance wise nothing a well done hair dying job can't fix or a wig. A lot of my friends do a better job at dying their own hair then some of theses "professionals" do on actors and actresses.
I personally believe at the right time and with the right people this could be a great movie. As humans we have a right to have our fears but as fans we should be as positive as we can be. As long as they don't over play the eye color, get good CGI/a studio, and capture the big parts of the books/don't add unnecessary stuff to the movie I think it could turn out fine. There is always undiscovered talent to find.
Lol!!! I feel you. I read this for my high school book club so all my friends who weren't in book club would come up and ask me "Why does everyone have their nose in this book???" Such a great read.
Hello Marz! Thanks for commenting. I hope you love Fire as just as much as we do. Where does your cover look cut off yet?
Isabeau wrote: "It would be cool to read a book about Hanna, wouldn't it?"Mhm!!! I'm sure Kristin could make her another brilliant female lead.
Isabeau wrote: "Katsa: Isabelle Fuhrman Yes or No?"
OOOOOOOH!!! That would be a very interesting role for her. I would love to see her in a different light. Yes for me.
Tenzin wrote: "OH MY GOD!! <3 <3 I'm so excited!!by the way, Nicholas Hoult should play Po :D"
LOL! I didn't even think of him. I wonder what he would look like with a tan...
God bless you for being positive about this NamChi. We will need fans like you when the going gets tough. I loved the book so much that the thought of it becoming a movie didn't even cross my mind. I totally like and agree with your mind set Samantha on viewing movie adaptations as a creature of it's own. I used this same mind set while viewing Beautiful Creatures and I actually enjoyed the movie quiet much. I hope the producers work closely with Cashore and do this series justice.
Becca wrote: "WHAT!?!? Wow, if that's true, I'm going to be sooooooo excited - assuming they do it right, of course. :) And if they do do it right, I hope Fire comes next!!!"http://kristincashore.blogspot.com/20... Fire as a movie would be amazing.
Wha... ugh. To be honest I'm worried. It is exciting news though. Thanks so much for telling us about it NamChi! Time to start another movie dream cast I guess. Even though stuff set in a time area similar, like Game of Thrones, is really popular right now.
