i mean. i dont mean to come off as some crazy war dog. but saying im wrong on so many levels... cmon... geeze... at least explain myself.

My standing point:
If there werent so many terrible people out there, we wouldnt need war, but there are, so we do. To keep them from endangering everyone else.
America fights wars in defense.

Helena, in what levels am i wrong?
Did we not war with indians, and Britain to keep this war?
Did the North not war against the South to end Slavery?
Do you not get that there are so many countries that dont have our freedoms, like having opinions, simply because they are ruled by dictators and armies?
However, I do agree, that war without a purpose, is wrong. What the middle east did to us because we believed differently than they did was no reason to do what they did on 9/11. But i truly think that if we just took that, and didnt do anything back, more things like this would happen.
Kevin, i do agree with you, killing is killing, but, sometimes we have to do what we have to do in order to stay in our country.
And Helena, with our deteriorating economy, work force, and the overall quality of Americans today, just as far as the lack of genuinely nice people go, i would definitely move to a different country. But not because of war. War is going to be wherever we go, and right now, America is the top superpower of the world. But think about if some country with some dictator was the superpower, just as Hitler was. Do you NOT think that we should have warred against Hitler to end the Holocaust? What should we have done? Sent him letters asking him to please stop? And guess who were in those allied forces against Hitler? France, and Britain, yeah they war too.
War is everywhere, and it is forever, and it is hell. But in order to keep some horrible people on top of the world, its got to happen. And i agree, that totally sucks, why cant we have war anymore, why cant everyone be treated equally? For some reason, its not like that.
War has ALWAYS been around. Whether it was David in the bible, or Sampson. Or in the medieval times, or the vikings, all the way up to today. War has almost became... tradition... sounds terrible right? it is.

Please do explain my being "wrong on so many levels" Helena, i like debates, this could be fun.

War is fought with a purpose.

Kill or be killed.

If we were not fighting back, we would be taking EVEN MORE crap like what happened in 9/11.

War is needed for America to show people we mean business.

War is so you have the opinion to say "There is no point it is fought in a blind fury without any thought what-so-ever." without having your life threatened for even HAVING an opinion.

War is what got us this country, and war is what is keeping us in this country.

The level of incompetence to not realize that, is beyond me.
