I saw an ad on Kotaku, and sent in a quick email and a picture. I got a response by the end of the day asking me to come in for an in-person interview, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Hi Conny! I've been wanting to to visit the Netherlands.
I'm working on book 2 now. It should be out by late summer/early fall. I'd like to say sooner but it's always tough to say how long the editing stage is going to take.
I'm glad you liked it!
If you have a question about my writing process, how I write, overcoming writer's block and all of that fun stuff, feel free to ask!
Hello everyone, I'm Genevieve Pearson and welcome to my question and answer group. Please feel free to introduce yourself in this thread. Add to the discussion with a new question, or submit a question in one of the threads I started.
A little bit about myself:
I'm twenty-eight years old. I grew up in Tacoma, Washington and I have three older brothers. For longer than I care to admit, I thought Superman was my cousin and that I would eventually grow into my powers (because I, of course, was Supergirl). I did have imaginary friends - Superman and Frank. When I was eight or nine I realized I was never going to develop super powers so my affection turned to Batman who made his way on grit, spit, and enormous wealth.
On graduating from Stadium High, I went on to attend film school at the University of Southern California. There I honed my storytelling abilities. I do still make short films and write screenplays in addition to writing novels. I met my husband at USC and now my husband and I live in Southern California. We have way too many cats and two dogs. Not surprising considering my early childhood, I still primarily write about superheroes of all sorts--though I do tend to favor the ones with weird or unusual powers, or overlooked sidekicks. I collected comic books until it got too expensive to keep up. Now I just stick with Batman: The Animated Series and DCUA toys.
Now how about you?Genevieve Pearson
