Hi Kat,
That's what I thought.
I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Hi Lucia,
You're welcome.
I look forward to hearing your ideas.

Ares seems the most logical since he's the god of war,so he could be the god linked to Seth, and in the books thus far we haven't heard much of Ares. Plus Ares had children with Aphrodite the goddess of war and beauty and desire so the male child of Ares and Aphrodite could be the god liked to Seth. I think Ares the god of war, speaks to Seth's fighting nature and cruelty. Aphrodite, desire and beauty speaks to Seth's handsomeness and seductive nature towards others and especially in relation to Alex. I'm not sure if a direct descendant (Ares) is more powerful then a more indirect descendant (son/daughter of Ares)in relation to the powers Seth has.

I'm still thinking its Zeus behind Seth, since Zeus created the first Apollonian. This may occur with parthogenesis-biological development of male without fertilization. In greek mythology Hephaestus is son of Hera by parthenogenesis. So Seth is created by his mother who then may have some links to Hera, given that Hera did the same in creating her son Hephaestus. Maybe Hera wants Zeus to be overthrown and is using Zeus' own Apollyon creation. In elixir, it says that Hermes, Hera and Ares have declared war within the same sentence so these gods seem to be on the same side-possibly Seth's.

Apollo is the god linked to Alex. Apollo is associated with light, truth and the sun. In greek mythology, Apollo is Zeus' son with Leto.

So maybe while the first Apollyon is created, the second Apollyon is born. In the case of Alex a pure mother and half-blood father.

Hephaestus is the god of fire so I think he's the god ancestor of Aiden, because Aiden has the ability to control fire.

Also, I think that the fact that Aiden's surname is St. Delphi might be important as Delphi is linked to oracles and Apollo's temple in Greek mythology.

63368 Hi everyone,
I'm Diana, I'm a fan of both the lux and convenant novels. It's nice to be able to talk about these books with other people who enjoy reading these books.

Hi Steph and Dani, very good point on the god that is on Lucian/Seth's side. You might be right on the lesser god, but I think given Seth's arrogance and shady character it has to be a big god most likley one of the 12 Olympians. Your idea of Hermes (whose one of the 12 Olympians) seems a good one, because Hermes is often described as cunning and good with language, which sounds like Seth.

I'm thinking along the lines of Zeus being the god linked to Seth/Lucian, because he rules the weather, thunder and lighting, which sounds like Seth who has some control of the weather and thunder. Plus, Zeus is power-hungry and wants to control others like Seth is.Zeus is the youngest son of Cronus and Rhea, whom he overthrew after Cronus swallowed his brothers and sisters. This sounds like Seth too, who wants to be the god-killer and is willing to inflict pain on Alex when he taps into her power for himself.

Does anyone agree or has anything other god in mind?

Hi Kay,trust me I don't want Aiden to die, he is one of my favourite characters. But, I kinda disagree with you because if Aiden dies (which I really hope isn't the case) it would stil mean Alex would have to deal with this and the story would still remain from her POV and not Aiden's at all.

Hi Kay, you raise a good point. But, I'm not entirely convinced Apollo is eniterely on Alex's side.I think there's more to Apollo than meets the eye, because as much as he can help Alex he also has the power to kill her.

63368 I've read and re-read Deity I absolutely loved this book.I also think the necklace given to Alex by Aiden will be important in breaking her connection to Seth. If JLA has stated in a couple of interviews that we will see a lot of the Underworld in this book, then I think we'd see more of Hades. I really hope to see more of Hades I thought he was great in Deity.I think Apollo will be the one to defeat Thanatos since he is on Alex's side. I also think that the teaser suggests that Alex might kill Aiden when she's linked to Seth. More of the Underworld could mean that Alex has to fight Seth in the Underworld. By defeating Seth she will make Hades happy by eliminating Seth from being the god-killer and in return Hades might give release Aiden's soul to Alex,in this way Aiden lives and can be with Alex.

63368 Hi Natalee, thanks for letting me know Daemon's 'Don't go into the Lake' is on the nook phone app. I wouldn't want you to get into trouble for posting it. I was just curious about whether anyone has been able to come across it. Since it was not in the papaerback or ebook I bought. I hope that publishers fix it soon as it is frustrating when you buy an ebook and paperback because one is told they will have different extra contact only to find out that publishers messed this up. I know that the author can't post something that's been published and would need her publishers permission but given the circumstances of this extra content I hope it's made available soon.
Daemon POV Scenes (245 new)

63368 Has anyone heard or read Daemon's POV: Don't go into the lake which some people say is in the end of Onyx ebook. Recently I found out that this scene was supposed to be in ebook version but this was not the case, because of a mistake on the publisher's side. I'm gutted that I've bought the ebook and paperback versions of onyx and haven't been able to read this scene yet. I know this scene might be eventually posted on author's site, but I was hoping given it was a mistake on the publishers side of not included it in the ebook, isn't there anyway that whoever wants to read this extra content could do something to get to read it, besides rebuying the book for the third time in my case, like author did with getting people to review her books for extra POV's???? Any other suggestions???
