I would also +1 for a mailing list of some kind. Goodreads seems to either always be over notifying or under notifying :)Also is there a good way to reach out live to folks in case we have trouble getting on the meeting Monday?
If folks might be interested, my friend group has been using Discord as our platform of choice during the quarantine. We've found it makes it very easy to swap between text, audio, and video chat without much trouble, and functions nicely for both random text chats over the week, as well as live get-togethers.
If folks are interested, I set this one up. Obviously no pressure. I know it sucks having to check *yet another* thing, but feel free to check it out and see if it's something that might be useful:

Also happy to use anything else, like FB groups, Slack, just plain old email, or whatever else folks feel would work best for staying in touch. :)
Haha, nooooo! I can't believe I missed this. I need to set up better notifications for Goodreads :)Is the plan to keep up doing Zoom for future meetups? (and will people mind if we talk about Dune a little bit again on the next one :-D)
Considering it might be a while before we are all able to meet in person again, any thoughts about trying to do our next book club via Zoom/Skype/Hangouts or some other online video conferencing tool?My weekly D&D group has switched to doing things online with Zoom (one of members has a premium account) and it's worked out really well. Would love to hangout with everyone again, even if only virtually :)
Was just about to ask whether we should push things back a month :). Really excited to talk about Dune, but glad Third Place Books is doing the right thing.
