We are definitely meeting again in person, but the online registration is option for folks who want to remote in. We are now in the downstairs area of restaurant part of the store.
In person book club has resumed in person! You can check the Third Place book website for more details
Hello!I wanted to throw a few suggestions out for longer books we could possibly read over 2 months, similar to what we did with Dune (sans global pandemic of course!)
I'm hoping having a book of on the "list" for 2 months is something that Third Place Books is still open to. Maybe if not frequently, maybe once or twice a year?
(Completely random thought, having a 2 monther during holidays would be pretty nice! Some holiday time to read longer books/get away from family!)
Anyways, some suggestions:
1) The Name of the Wind (looking for an excuse to read this again!)
2) Game of Thrones
3) The Way of Kings
4) Black Leopard Red Wolf (just finished this, and I've not read any fantasy like this before)
5) Lord of the Rings : The Fellowship of the Ring
Did anyone else get an invite to zoom meeting for 4/20 book club? I registered with 2 emails, never received anything. I see a meeting id on website, but need a password to get in...
I could probably create meeting via my work zoom account. If I get a list of emails + date/times I could create meeting invite.
I do have another batch of books coming Friday... Dune Messiah is one of them!I have been deep diving into some Sanderson works since being WFH all month.
Highly, highly recommend the Stormlight Archives!
Hi everyone!I wanted to extend invitation to join a little board game tournament I run with friends. It is super casual event, that just requires you to play 5 games (from pre-selected pool) with other people participating in tournament. It lasts little over a month, with lots of meetups during the tournament (on weekends, and there is no obligation to attend every single one).
There is a small entry fee ($10), but that all goes to prize pool.
If you like board games at all, this is a really fun way to get some games in (before summer arrives) and hang out with other aficionados.
If that sounds interesting at all, please message me and I can forward more details.

I also think its a killer idea! Would be awesome to finish up series we started.*** I'd put forward for Remembrance of Earth's Past trilogy (Book 1 = Three Body Problem) I read Book 2, it's one of the best sci fi books I have ever read!
Found this quiz on book riot. Took it, and added a new book to my TBR. Worth a lookhttps://bookriot.com/2018/10/25/sci-f...
I got:
Breg from Ancillary Justice - Ann Leckie
