The Dhammapada Chapter XXIV. Thirst

334. The thirst of a thoughtless man grows like a creeper; he runs from life to life, like a monkey seeking fruit in the forest.

335. Whomsoever this fierce thirst overcomes, full of poison, in this world, his sufferings increase like the abounding Birana grass.

336. He who overcomes this fierce thirst, difficult to be conquered in this world, sufferings fall off from him, like water-drops from a lotus leaf.

337. This salutary word I tell you, `Do ye, as many as are hereassembled, dig up the root of thirst, as he who wants the sweet-scented Usira root must dig up the Birana grass, that Mara (the tempter) may not crush you again and again, as the stream crushes the reeds.’

338. As a tree, even though it has been cut down, is firm so long as its root is safe, and grows again, thus, unless the feeders of thirst are destroyed, the pain (of life) will return again and again.

There are people who say they can cancel the karma of others, to purify the path, but although I can appreciate the wisdom of a Master, I am convinced that no one is able to remove the stones from our path, they are necessary to learn the lessons we learn in different ways.
Our life is always special, but in some circumstances you can open doors that we introduce in the space that is the meaning of our lives, the lesson to be applied to correct some attitudes and put in place the pieces of the puzzle that allows us composing our history. At that moment we feel within us to live out of time, of being touched by a Presence accompanying us.

From ego to universal love

Transformation process.

This phrase emphasizes the fragmentary nature with which we perceive ourselves and the world, although convinced to come into contact with something whole and complete. We forget that the appearances, the constraints and expectations distance us from our true nature, when in fact we should learn that nothing has an absolute value, and you need to open up to others to reconcile what we are and who they are, without turning in a claim separate truth and this is only possible through comparison and sharing.

Thanks Stephen,
