50x66 Computer-wise: page turning shouldn't matter how many books you have. Loading...could, but shouldn't.

50x66 Some people on the Nook group complained that when they used a Kobo it was slow to load books and turn pages. Have any of you had that experience?

Nice! Do you need a special cover for that or do the Kobo $30 covers make it sleep?

Nice about the bookstore partnership.

Also, good to hear about the Aura being OK, resolution-wise.

I saw some people complain about that somewhere. Given that I'll nearly always have my cell with me, I could always play sudoku on there.

What's the Pocket app?

50x66 Hello folks!

I have a first gen B&N Nook, but it's starting to no longer hold charge as well as it once did. I prefer EPUB-based readers like the Nook and Kobo, so I'm thinking of going Kobo since B&N seems to be on shaky footing recently.

So I was curious - of all the Kobo models - what's your recommendation? And what are your Kobo frustrations? What really, really bugs you?

Book source doesn't matter much to me as I tend to buy most of my books from Humble Bundle or Story Bundle (which give me DRM-free EPUBs), directly from the publisher, or (if I have to) Amazon and convert to EPUB (or read on my phone's Kindle app when I'm on lunch break). So, any comments on how the experience is to use non-Kobo-bought books would be great, as well.

I guess the main models now are the Aura and the Glo HD. I'm OK with the crispness of my Nook - many of my paperbacks didn't have perfect printing anyway. But the HD is only $30 more than the Aura, so if it's a lot better, I don't mind spending $30.

Thanks!
