That sounds great. Good luck with everything, and I hope you enjoy being part of this discussion group!
Thanks so much. Chapter 1 is posted on my website (christopherprofeta.webs.com) and you can get more info at my facebook page (facebook.com/ChristopherProfetaFanPage)
If you could visit any place in the world (or a place created by a book), where would you go and why?I’ve never been one to want to “see the world.” I’ve always been perfectly satisfied right at home. If you told me right now I could go anywhere I want, I’d probably just go to either my family’s place in Traverse City, Michigan, or my wife’s family’s cottage in Caseville, Michigan. I like things simple.
What about you guys? How would you answer the question?
There has been a lot of national attention given to the issue of stay at home parents over the past few weeks. This blog post deals indirectly with some of that. What is your take on the debate? This post also talks a lot about silly ways of passing the time with your kids. What do the parents out there think about this? What kinds of creative activities have you come up with for your kids?
Becuase there has been such a good response, the free download is now available until Wednesday, April 18, the same day as the interview on Morgen Bailey's Writing Blog.
Sixth grade sounds anything but boring! I bet you have tons of stories. Sometimes my college freshmen act like sixth graders!
In support of the book tour, "Life in Pieces" is now available as a free download until Monday, April 16 exclusively through goodreads to members of this group. Feel free to let your friends know!http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13...
Thanks to everyone for joining this group. I'm thrilled that so many people were interested. I just thought that since the book tour is going to start in 2 days, it might be a good idea to have everyone introduce themselves to kind of break the ice a bit. I'll start...I'm Chris Profeta, and I invited everyone here to follow my blog tour in support of my book "Life in Pieces," and to allow people a chance to comment on the guest posts and interviews that will be published over the next few weeks. This group is a chance to continue the conversation that gets started at the various blogs. I'll be posting the links here, but you can get the full list of dates at my website, www.christopherprofeta.webs.com.
I teach writing at the college level, and "Life in Pieces" is my first novel. I also have a short story and poetry collection called "Skyful of Love." I currently live in Clawson, MI with my wife and two daughters.
OK, now tell us a little about you...
I've never been much of an avid book blogb reader, but I'm finding some pretty interesting. I'm wondering how many people have discovered new books or writers through blogs.
Have you ever, as a writer or blogger, participated in a blog book tour? Do you read author interviews on book blogs? If so, would you recommend it to others?
