50x66 I went to my first author reading and signing today at our local library. Mary Jane Clark was there to talk about her latest book, answer questions, and sign books and my mother loves her, so we went.

It was interesting. And got me to thinking about who in our group has been to any of these? And if you have, is there anyone you think does a great job with these interactions? Anyone on your dream list to hear speak/signing?
50x66 I admit it. I love her books. She's hardly the best writer I've read, but she knows how to spin an interesting tale and create characters I go from loving to hating to loving.

Currently, I'm reading Breaking Dawn. Ridiculous in some ways, but interesting and I'm loving it more than I did Eclipse, which is probably by least favorite book in the series.

So addictive.

Still don't really like Bella though.

50x66 I was thinking about this today while talking to a friend. As an avid reader, there are some going back to childhood that still mean so much to me - Harriet the Spy, for example - so a list like this is hard.

My Top Three (I Think)

1. Elizabeth Bennett
2. Ponyboy Curtis
3. Harry Potter - yeah, over the course of seven books I came to love that boy (even when I wanted to grab him and shake sense into him)

What about you guys?

50x66 My current read is the Scott McClellan book and after that I'm definitely going to need some mindless fiction. I think i'm too liberal to really give this book a chance, often finding myself wishing I could punch Scott and the Bush administration in the face.
