thanks for the reply! I actually typically use itunes because of this. But it was sort of a trade-off since windows media player has controls that easily let you speed up playback but it didn't bookmark your position in an audiobook and itunes would save your position but not let you speed up without some workaround using quicktime. It apparently lets you easily speed up on an ipod but not on the PC-- at least thats what I found the last time I went sifting through the internet for answers. Sorry I'm not a great help with helping you find a player. Recently I've been downloading librivox books as podcasts.

I think I tried looking for this a couple years ago messed around with a plugin for a while and then gave up.
