I've never finished it either, and I do try to read a lot of Kiwi fiction. Gotta support your own crowd, right?

I liked his others better but none will ever feature on my OMG Must Read That Again list.

Even my husband hated the movie and that's usually his sort of thing.

nope, I have to agree. I mean, I read the series initially because my daughter was about to, and I wanted to know what all the hype was about. But BD? About as awful as VD, IMHO (altho I haven't had this last one!)

Reading is really subjective, isn't it? I mean, I can totally love one title, then recommend it 'till I'm blue in the face and get completely surprised when they knock it back. But that happens to others too - the book I can't finish is The Memory Keeper's Daughter. I can't get over the thought that the doctor is a selfish a$$.

What title(s) were recommended to you that just need to go into the recycling bin?
