Wren frowned, worried. She figured he needed space. "I need to go find some new plants," she muttered, and swung back into the forest again.
"Liam," she said, feeling helpless. "It's not my secret to tell. I would if I could. I want to tell you everything!"
Her gaze softened. "Please. I need you to trust me. I would never tell her anything about the clan. But I can't tell you everything, as much as I'd like to. I'm sorry."
"Nothing!" she said, a little irritated. "She's just...not someone to worry about. I don't think..."
Wren wondered if Mhyrr would mind so much if she told Liam. She stared at him for a moment, a thoughtful gaze on her face. "Mhyrr is an ally," she said at last.
Wren jumped down from a tree, landing directly in front of Liam. "Hi!" she said, grinning mischievously.
"Yes," Wren said, chuckling. "Now, if you'll excuse me, Liam must be dying of impatience right now." A branch lowered itself down and flung her up into the trees. She swung off into the forest again.
{Hey! :D}Wren nodded, looking around. "Currently, I'm on the hunt for Euphorbia Milli. They're extremely thorny plants that would make excellent weapons. Also, the Scottish Thistle. I can sense them only faintly, and haven't had time to locate them. I should really get to that."
"Yes," Wren replied. "I can sense different types of plants that are near, as well. This forest has a strangely wide range of plants. I always suspected it had some kind of magical properties. So many plants that would usually need different environments to grow, thrive here."
{'Troglodytidae.' You're the best, man. :) }Wren took a cautious step back, her eyes wide in fascination. "Wow," she breathed. It was amazing to see the understanding between the wolf-Canis-and Mhyrr.
"You've seen," Wren said. "This." She put her hand out, and a thorned branch slammed into it from a tree close by. "I have control over all plants. Now, tell me what you can do." She was getting impatient. She had never met anyone else like her. She was anxious to know exactly how she was like her.
Wren gently slipped her hand out of Liam's grip and looked into his ocean blue eyes. "Liam," she murmured. "Please trust that I know what I'm doing. I'll be right back." She lingered by his side a moment more, and then flitted through the forest after Mhyrr.
{Hmm...}The queer feeling still tugged at Wren's mind. What did she have to do with this girl? She instinctively sent stray vines winding around her legs, as was her habit when she was feeling protective of herself. She sighed and looked away from Mhyrr. She glanced down at the vines wrapped around her. Then something inside her mind clicked. She didn't know how she knew it, but Wren was most positive: This Mhyrr girl was special, like her. She whipped her head to look at Mhyrr again, fiercely. She raised her hand, and sent a leaf flying gently through the air and at Mhyrr's feet. "What can you do, Mhyrr?" she asked. "I don't know how, but I know there is something." Wren hoped Mhyrr knew what she was talking about. She hoped she wasn't crazy.
{Coolio! :D}Wren slitted her eyes at her answer, but then paused. She had never really gotten a good look at Mhyrr before, in her rage and fear. She had a shock of long red hair, and her delicate fairy wings had a similar tinge of red. They were almost as beautiful as Liam's blue wings. She had a look about her, in her sure movements and expressions, that told Wren she was well acquainted with nature. It was strange... It was as if she knew the forest almost like Wren did. As if Mhyrr had some kind of understanding for it, almost like how Wren could feel the forest. Wren felt some kind of strange connection with the girl...
